Beachhead Studios has released the first issue of their monthly newsletter, Drop Zone, which corresponds with the start of the 2012 Modern Warfare 3 Content Season.
Each issue of the newsletter will be released every month alongside the nine downloadable content drops. The contents of the newsletters are focused on map Intel, strategies, interviews and in-game knowledge.
Issue #1
The First Issue is focused on the two newest maps, Piazza and Liberation, which made up the first DLC content drop. The close quarter map Piazza features the Inner Circle and SAS as opposing forces. Liberation, the larger sniper friendly map, hosts Delta and Spetznaz factions.
The tactics section provides a good Domination guide for Piazza as well as a Team Deathmatch guide for Liberation. Included is an explanation of spawn point advantages and disadvantages for both opposing sides. There is detailed info on where to move, what each member of the clan should do, and what to expect from your enemy's routes. There are also great defending and attacking tactics discussing how to be successful with different playing styles.
Another section of the newsletter includes a few suggested class setups for you to experiment with. If you are a run and gunner, defender or sniper there are plenty of different classes to try out. To accompany the tactics and and class loadouts there are also overhead map layouts showing in-depth illustrations.
