The PlayStation Vita will also see its own Call of Duty game release sometime in the near future, according to Sony's Vice President of marketing, Guy Longworth.
During an interview with gaming website GameTrailers, Longworth stated that PlayStation Vita purchasers can look forward to a Call of Duty release sometime 'in the autumn', however it was not announced whether the release would be its own game specifically built for the console to take advantage of its new features, or whether it would be a ported version of a pre-existing game.
It's a well-known fact that Treyarch had announced job openings back in October, looking for people to help bring "the hugely successful game to a new console", though no announcement was made as to which Call of Duty game and console they were looking to develop for, and even though Activision have announced support for both the Wii-U and the PS Vita, it has yet to inform its fans of their intentions for both consoles.
The PlayStation Vita releases worldwide on February 22nd. Stay tuned to Digital Warfare for more information on the Vita as well as all your Call of Duty and Battlefield needs.
