The second issue of the extremely popular newsletter 'Drop Zone' has landed on Call of Duty Elite to all Elite users.
The second issue of the newsletter focuses on the new map, Overwatch, which releases on February 22nd. Featured in the newsletter is potent information about the map layout, what sorts of load-outs that should be taken into consideration when first getting used to the map for yourself, as well as important strategies that should help players to survive during the first hours of game-play.
"Overwatch challenges players with a two-story symmetrical layout. The top floor offers plentiful vantage points, but a lack of overhead cover invites open attack from aerial strikes. The ground floor consists of long sight lines across the sides and a struggle for dominance in the center." - Description of Overwatch, Call of Duty: Elite
The newsletter also details where the spawns are located on the map in question, as well as where crucial flanking routes are and where action can be expected to take place - vital information for those players looking to have the best advantage before the map launches next week.
For Premium members, perhaps the most intriguing part of the newsletter is a video, showing the map in detail and giving players a quick, 40 second snap-shot of exactly what the map offers, alongside a count-down for premium members as to when the map will drop, giving players a teaser of just how long they will have to wait before they can get their hands on the map for themselves.
The new downloadable content map 'Overwatch' will release for Xbox 360 users on the 22nd February. For more information, see the related article.
